Between Waves

The third look fully embraces freedom and movement. For this garment, I stiffened the organza before hand pleating it to create sculptural texture and volume. I draped and mostly hand sewed the fan-like structures throughout the skirt to mimic movement similar to water and Monet’s brushstrokes. There is also hand beading throughout the look, and sections of the organza were hand dyed and stiffened to create dimension and depth within the silhouette.
